Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:
5/12/08 1:57 p.m. Two juveniles were referred to the Clackamas County juvenile court system for possession of marijuana on school grounds at Lakeridge High School.
5/12/08 2:47 p.m. Brian Neal Watson, 37, was arrested on suspicion of theft and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.
5/13/08 2:24 p.m. Thomas James Trapold, 39, was arrested on a warrant on suspicion of theft and taken to the Clackamas County Jail.
5/14/08 3:45 p.m. Christopher Fulton, 62, was cited into Lake Oswego Municipal Court on suspicion of disorderly conduct.
5/15/08 10:03 p.m. Mariesa Carolyn Blackwell, 20, was charged on suspicion of assault, reckless driving and failing to perform the duties of a driver. She was taken to Clackamas County Jail.
5/19/08 2:15 a.m. Travis Pirl Hokanson, 30, was arrested on multiple warrants and lodged at the Multnomah County Jail.
5/13/08 7:31 a.m. A rock was thrown through the window of a business on Boones Ferry Road in an apparent burglary attempt.
5/13/08 9:10 a.m. Someone tried to get into a car on McVey Avenue by pulling the weather stripping off the window.
5/16/08 9:22 a.m. A possible burglar on Aquinas turned out to be a cleaning lady who did not have the code to the alarm.
5/14/08 6:12 p.m. Donald J. Wilson, 69, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Highway 43 and taken to Clackamas County Jail.
5/13/08 7:55 a.m. No one was hurt when two cars collided on North Shore Road.
5/13/08 2:15 p.m. There were no injuries in a car crash at Oswego Town Square on Monroe Parkway.
5/15/08 2:30 p.m. No one was hurt in a two-car crash at Foothills Road and State Street.
5/12/08 8:34 a.m. A cell phone was stolen at Waluga Junior High School.
5/12/08 10:10 a.m. A fanny pack containing a wallet, credit cards and a business badge was stolen from a restaurant on Boones Ferry Road.
5/12/08 5:07 p.m. A local person’s phone account was used to order $30,000 in equipment that was later sold on eBay.
5/13/08 2:56 p.m. A non-narcotic prescription was taken from an unlocked car on B Avenue.
5/13/08 3:11 p.m. A suspicious shopper at a store on Boones Ferry Road emptied two cash registers before leaving.
5/13/08 3:14 a.m. A misplaced wallet was stolen from a store on Boones Ferry Road.
5/14/08 2:37 p.m. A camera, jewelry and other items, valued at $52,000, were taken from a home on Cabana Lane.
5/15/08 11:11 a.m. Money was stolen from a business on State Street.
5/16/08 12:31 p.m. A person on a red bicycle was suspected of stealing $305 from the cash register of a business on A Avenue.
5/17/08 2:47 p.m. A wallet was taken from a store on Bryant Road.
5/12/08 9:06 a.m. Mailboxes were leveled on Boones Ferry Road.
5/12/08 12:45 p.m. A purported homeless camp, discovered on Iron Mountain, turned out to be an elaborate fort built by kids.
5/12/08 1:36 p.m. A large knife was spotted on Jean Road.
5/12/08 4:04 p.m. Roommates fought over the rent on Jefferson Parkway.
5/12/08 4:52 p.m. A reckless driver nearly ran another off A Avenue, then flipped the single-finger salute.
5/12/08 9:48 p.m. An electric car was sidelined on Maple Street, its battery dead.
5/13/08 2:35 a.m. A small dog that scratched on a door on D Avenue ran off when police arrived, then returned.
5/13/08 4:15 a.m. A person yelled obscenities from a pool on Kingsgate Avenue.
5/13/08 7:51 a.m. A suspicious person seen standing next to a Dumpster on Mercantile Drive was not up to wrongdoing, just working on a crossword puzzle while waiting for a doctor’s appointment.
5/13/08 9:58 a.m. A man behind a bush on Lake Bay Court was working on an estimate for yard work.
