This weekend, local adman Adam Klugman will produce a video spot that will be used as a fundraiser for the Democratic Party of Oregon.
Klugman, who lives in West Linn and is the son of actor Jack Klugman, who played Oscar Madison on television’s “The Odd Couple,” runs a small advertising shop called Progressive Media Agency on Northeast Broadway.
Last fall, he had been shopping around a rough version of a 90-second video spot called “We the People,” and it quickly gained traction on YouTube and in political circles as party leaders endorsed it.
The video, or anthem (as he likes to call it), does not deal with policy but is a montage of everyday people — teachers, farmers, moms, paramedics, ministers — issuing a call to progressives to fight for their values and work toward a common vision.
On Sunday, Klugman will oversee production of the video at a Northeast Portland studio, having hired both actors and non-actors to play the roles of the everyday people.
The Democratic Party of Oregon will likely start using the clip in the next few weeks as a fundraising video. Klugman said he’ll also talk with someone in the Barack Obama presidential campaign to potentially show it at the Democratic convention in August.
“My ideal would be to air it and have Barack Obama come out and say, ‘I’m Barack Obama and I approve this message,’ ” Klugman said. “I tend to think big.”

It seems so obvious that when the brains were handed out most Democrats thought they said trains and they missed theirs.
MR. Klugman your daughter and my grandson were playmates and I met you when you attended several functions in Wilsonville I thought you seemed like a sensible person obviously you have no sense.

This video will do a great job of talking about Democratic values and re-introducing the Democratic Party. I am absolutely proud to be a Democrat. We work to make ALL people's lives better, not just extra benefits for the few (like oil company executives).
It's time to take our country back. Our Democrats in Congress have been doing a good job of trying to turn things around, but we need more Democratic Senators (like Jeff Merkley!) and a Democratic president to really accomplish anything. The Republicans block everything we try to do, and Smith cancels out all of Wyden's votes.
This video is a hopeful, positive message that really reflects who we are. I'm looking forward to being part of it.

You McCainites are so guilty of hyperbole and false indignity at anything resembling Sen. Obama that it aint even funny. Go home to Arizona myfriend for you sure are not an Oregonian. Lets see...... 2006 the DEMORATS were elected to the House and Senate, 1 1/2 years later, the economy is in the tank, banks closing, forclosures at an all time high, the approval rating for congress at an all time low (9%) the lowest in the History of the US!
What a great record you DEMORATS have given us!

The most recent Rasmussen Reports survey calculates a mere 9 percent say Congress is doing a good or excellent job, while a majority of Americans, 52 percent, believe it is doing a poor job, which also ties a record high.

Democrats are becoming known as the party of ...
*MANY attempted llegal alien amnesties.
*The end of national sovereignty through N.A.U. and assimilation by illegal aliens.
*And the over 62,000 Americans killed since 9/11 at the hands of illegal aliens.
Democrats are also becoming known as supporters of...
*Illegal immigration. VERY FEW Democrats have signed the discharge petition to vote the SAVE Act (HR 4088) into law and remove the jobs magnet for illegals.
*Depressed wages. That's what happens when you pander to the cheap labor movement.

Most EVERY measure and effort being made to end illegal immigration and bring REAL comprehensive immigration reform (that DOESN'T mean "AMNESTY"!) has and IS being resisted by the Democratic party.
That includes the SAVE Act that Nancy Pelosi tried to kill by pushing for a 3 year renewal with stipulations so she could underfund it to starve it to death and give pro-amnesty forces a chance to destroy it in non-public actions later.

"We the People" voted for Democrates in 2006 and got : higher unnemployment, gas prices doubled, the housing crises,the stock market is tanking, higher interest rates and earmarks and corruption that make the Republicans kook like pikers.
