An undermanned Lakeridge team gave Sunset all it could handle in the first half of Friday's Zero Week game but the Apollos rallied to score 35 unanswered points and capitalized on four second half turnovers to top the Pacers easily.

The Pacers got on the board first on a 22-yard pass from Danny Kloucek to Daniel Chensey at the end of the first quarter. Sunset rallied on its next drive with a one-yard run by quarterback Michael Verbeek. A missed extra point made it 7-6 Lakeridge at the half.

On the first play of the third quarter, Kloucek was intercepted by Alan Chamberlain and Dominique Calderwood hauled in a six-yard catch to give the Apollos the lead. Another interception, two fumbles and a handful of delay of game penalties kept the Pacers from getting any momentum on offense in the second half.

Matt Wenzel, Tyler Delgado and Kyler Bruno each had second-half rushing touchdowns to complete the scoring for Sunset.
