The Lakeridge girls basketball team continues to perform well despite its youth and turned in a solid showing in the State Farm Bracket of the Interstate Shootout.
Lakeridge got into the winner's bracket of the tournament with a solid 42-31 win over Sequoyah from Oklahoma and then took on a strong Silverton team in the quarterfinals.
The Pacers fell behind 7-2 early but rallied back. Lexi Ross scored her team's first nine points but picked up her second foul late in the quarter.
Silverton fired up a handful of three-point shots early in the game but struggled to find the range. Still, the Foxes led 14-11.
Lakeridge took the lead early in the second quarter and had some momentum but started to slip again when Ross picked up her third foul.
The Pacers battled to a 23-23 tie at the half.
