I would like to answer your questions regarding the best recommendations when preparing for special events as we are nearing the holidays. Many of you asked about when to book and how often to book specific treatments and I am here as your aesthetic expert with tips and guidance.
For injectable treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers we recommend booking both Botox and filler appointments at least 2 weeks prior to any upcoming social events to allow for maximum results. You don't want to book your injectable appointments right before your big day to account for any possible bruising or swelling. While we take great precautions to prevent bruising, we are talking about needles and it does happen from time to time. We want our patients looking and feeling their absolute best before any big event and every day in between. By allowing at least two weeks before any major event, you allow enough time for results to set in.
From that point, maintenance appointments for Botox will be every 3-4 months and every 6-9 months for dermal fillers. This is to ensure that you are always maintaining optimal results.
As we near winter, because of the limited sun exposure, it is a great time to reevaluate your skincare regime with a full facial assessment. When the seasons start to change our skincare needs change. The cold climate tends to dry out skin so products like ZO's Daily Power Defense or Alastin's Ultra Nourishing Moisturizer will protect the skin barrier and extend the hydration of the skin. We may also recommend a series of chemical peels or facial treatments to address fine lines, texture, hydration and/or pigmentation issues.
